1940年6月，戴高乐夫妇面临法国在军事和政治上的崩溃。戴高乐选择奔赴伦敦继续抗战，而他的妻子伊冯则与三个孩子一起踏上远赴埃及之路。。摄影师杰宇在一次婚礼外拍中，见到了自己一直念念不忘的初恋女友嘉怡，两人的种种回忆一下涌现在杰宇的脑海里，以致于他将要崩溃。最后在休息中杰宇看到嘉怡很幸福，也就释怀了这段初恋感情。。Esther goes home to Skokie, Illinois to understand why her unique relationship with her parents motivated her to become a comedian.
