本片是一部音乐歌舞片，集七十年代爵士乐之大成。在1980年第33届戛纳国际电影节上获得金棕榈奖，获52届奥斯卡（1979）最佳服装设计、最佳剪辑，最佳音乐三项金像奖。 ◇剧情介绍◇ 作为一个音乐剧迷，即使你不太熟悉金像奖导演Bob Fosse这个名字，我打赌你也一定听说过托尼奖和奥斯卡的大赢家《芝加哥》和《歌厅》，Fosse分别是这两部音乐剧电影版的编剧和导演，他的另一部著名作品就是这部《爵士春秋》。（其实只要稍微留意就可以从《芝加哥》的编舞上发现许多《爵士春秋》的影子，而且《芝加哥》开门见山的第一只曲子就是‘All That Jazz’。） 《爵士春秋》可称是Bob Fosse本人的半自传影片，片中的主人公是一位叫Joe Gideon的百老汇资深导演，他天马行空，我行我素，才华横溢，但是由于没有树立起远大的理想和正确的人生观和世界观，工作的压力和情...。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
