邙村藏在太行山的褶皱里，土坯墙爬满绿苔，老槐树枝桠歪歪扭扭地罩着半个村口，清晨的鸡叫能从村东头传到村西头。村里人提起陈北玄，总少不了啐一口：“那懒汉又扒王婶家墙头了！”。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。克莱尔（米歇尔·菲佛饰）组织了一次特别的圣诞郊游活动，而她的家人却在忙碌中将她遗忘。当他们意识到错误时，她已经失踪了。他们的圣诞节岌岌可危，但克莱尔另有打算。。
